Who are we?
InciSioN UK is a student and junior doctor-led group that is working to promote access to safe surgery, for all. We currently have a committee of 15 medical students from across the UK. We work with national and international partners to promote global surgery, around three key areas of work: research, education and advocacy. ​

Chair
Fay
Fay is a third-year medical student at the University of Buckingham.
Stepping into her second year with InciSion UK, she is thrilled to continue and build on our existing initiatives.
As chair, her aim is to ignite a shared passion for global surgery through collaboration, education, advocacy, and research
Vice-Chair
Zheqing (Zq)
Zheqing is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Oxford, with an interest in neurosurgery, global health, clinical research, and medical education. As Vice-Chair she hopes to work on new projects and initiatives to improve our research, education, and advocacy.
She is especially excited to be involved in research and events organisation, with more national and international collaborations.

Secretary
Yan Ting
Yan Ting is a FY1 in West Yorkshire. She is interested in neurosurgery, as well as global surgery/health and humanitarian medicine.
She's glad to be part of InciSioN UK committee this year, to help raise awareness and understanding around global surgery, and provide support to like-minded individuals

Junior Doctor Network Lead
Ellie
Ellie is a current Foundation Year 3 Doctor in London with a keen interest in Surgery and Gynaecology.
As the new Junior Doctor Network lead for Incision UK 23/24, she is excited to strengthen our existing connections whilst branching out to others through teaching and other events, to further knowledge and engagement within Global Surgery.
Medical Student Network Lead
Wojciech
Wojciech is a fourth-year medical student at the new Kent and Medway Medical School, and he is excited to be the Medical Student Network Lead this year.
His aim is to provide seamless communication between the University regional leads and the cental InciSioN committee. He is truly grateful for the opportunity to promote our global surgery research, advocacy and eduation initiatives on a national level!

Research Lead
Rachel
Rachel is the research lead for Incision UK this year. She is currently a core surgical trainee in Norwich.
She has a strong interest in general surgery and research and looks forward to working with InciSioN UK on our next project.

Educational Lead
Alexandra
Alexandra is a 5th year medic at Imperial College. She's passionate about surgery, medical technologies and women’s health.
She looks forward to raising awareness about health inequities and contributing to education on global surgery.
Treasurer
Momin
Momin is a current foundation Year 1 doctor in Yorkshire, interested in global surgery, health tech and interventional radiology.
As the new treasurer for Incision UK 23/24, he aims to secure sponsorships and connect with partner organisations. He hopes to expand the InciSioN podcast with the latest episodes and is excited to get involved with teaching and organising this year’s national events.

Webmaster
Victoria
Victoria is currently a CST1 in Exeter and she hoping to update the current website to make it as easily accessible as possible and help to promote the educational, research, and advocacy work that the new committee continues with.

Media Lead
Max
Max is a final year student at UCL and the media lead for InciSioN this year! He is looking forward to creating engaging posts and publicising opportunities to get as many people interested in global surgery as possible
Advocacy Lead
Aiman
Aiman is a current final year medical student at King's College Longon.
She has an interest in conflict zone surgery and would like to do missions for MSF.
This year the aim is to spotlight common pitfalls in equitable global surgery and look into sustainable solutions

Events and Workshop Lead
Minali
Minali is currently undertaking a Masters in Medical Education with University of Warwick and working as a Specialty Registrar in Essex.
She has a keen interest in medical education and Women in Surgery. She is planning on hosting events focused on women in surgery for the upcoming year!

Design Lead
Adele
Adele is a fourth-year medical student at Barts, and design lead for this year.
This is her third year within InciSioN UK, and she’s passionate about continuing to increase the understanding and the advocacy on global surgery.
She hopes to make our visuals interactive and create interesting content!
